How Does CBD Treat Anxiety?

Anxiety is the state of being reactive to certain environments including stressful environments. It’s interesting that some people react to the smallest to the largest activity they’re involved with. Whether it’s driving a car by themselves or being in a room full of people. These cause them to have many anxiety disorders as there are many different people influenced by negative situations. The conditions within their body emanate feelings of fear and others. There are medications people take for anxiety, though it may not be the best for them. Synthetic medication often accompanies another set of symptoms within the patient who takes them. As you can see, anxiety is a serious condition that we all need to address.

In addition, cannabidiol (CBD) is a complex component of the cannabis plant that strikes a connection to the human body. This component complements our endocannabinoid system (ECS) that’s within us all, even you. The endocannabinoid system contains the  CB1 and CB2 receptors. CB1 in particular influences individuals with anxiety in a positive way that no other synthetic medication can. It’s true, CBD has minimal effects on the body, however, it’s positive effects far outweigh them and synthetic medication.  We’ll let you be the judge as we review these important points of understanding anxiety, how CBD comes into play, and are you worried about CBD containing side effects?

Understanding Anxiety from All Sides Of The Same Coin

Anxiety is a person reacting to their environment they dislike, very intensely. A research report, “Anxiety Disorders”, by the NIMH, identifies individuals with physical symptoms including a racing heart and shakiness. It also explains their fear may cause those physical symptoms. It also explains why they aren’t able to control themselves during an episode. They allow the emotions to take over which activates their body to react. There are a few types of anxiety disorders that contribute to many different episodes. These disorders are:

  • Panic Disorder – The symptoms accompanied by this disorder are recurrent panic attacks, intense fear, pounding heart, sweating, shortness of breath, smothering, and feeling of dying.

  • Social Anxiety Disorder – The symptoms within this are fears of social environments, being humiliated, rejected, embarrassed or of hurting another person.

  • Generalized Anxiety Disorder – The symptoms accompanying this are worrying for months at a time, restlessness, fatigue, irritability, and sleep problems.

Anxiety is a condition that individuals have trouble coping with. Medications from different pharmaceutical sources don’t often help as much. Although there is one natural organic medication that does work which is CBD.

How CBD Comes Into Play?

Cannabidiol (CBD) helps many illnesses ranging from arthritis, inflammation to high blood pressure. One of those includes anxiety. Unlike other medications, cannabidiol soothes the emotional mess inside an anxiety victim. The individual who has anxiety also has an endocannabinoid system. The ECS within you composes of the CB1 and the CB2 receptor. These receptors are responsible for interacting with the cannabinoid elements in the cannabis plant. Each cannabinoid has different types and one of them is cannabidiol or CBD. One research report, “Cannabidiol As a Potential Treatment for Anxiety Disorders” by Esther Blessing, Maria Steenkamp, Jorge Manzanares, and Charles Marmar, mentions these receptors can regulate fear and anxiety-related behaviors. They also make the two connections that the CB1 receptor does all the work to help individuals soothe their anxiety. Understanding this, you know CBD not only soothes anxiety, but it also goes back to homeostasis.

Are You Worried About CBD Containing Side Effects?

As with all other medications, you might want to know the side effects of cannabidiol or CBD. Though there are those who may suggest cannabidiol or CBD has side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, fatigue, and nausea. The accurate research implies that CBD has very minimal side effects if any at all. The NCBI wrote a report, “Safety and Side Effects of Cannabidiol, A Cannabis Sativa Constituent”,  about CBD being non-toxic in non-transformed cells. It also suggests that CBD does not induce changes in food intake, does not induce catalepsy, and it doesn’t affect heart rate, blood pressure, and body temperature. Moreover, it doesn’t affect gastrointestinal, as some pharmaceutical companies might suggest. CBD also doesn’t affect psychological functions. It then it goes on to imply that humans can take up to 1,500 mg/day of CBD because humans are able to tolerate this.

However, there are still some small side effects that are on record such as alterations of in vitro cells, possibly decreased fertilization and decreased activities of the glycoprotein.Though these side effects are still questionable since researchers are still studying this marvelous natural organic medication. Why just one decade ago they said cigarettes were good for you. Now they’re saying they can cause you cancer. We still don’t know much about CBD, but we do know it’s apart of nature, and nature is apart of who we are. There’s a BIG correlation between these two.

All in all cannabidiol (CBD) helps anxiety in many ways that you may think it impossible. Anxiety is in many people and some might find it hard to go about their daily lives in public. If these lives are apart of CBD so they can live a happier and more fulfilled life then why not take a chance?

How CBD Contributes To Epilepsy?

Epilepsy is a symptom of a brain disease or an injury. Some sources equate this to recurrent seizures of many types within individuals. It’s a symptom some individuals have that takes over much of their lives. You may be asking, “How does this relate to Cannabidiol or CBD”? It’s connected to CBD because, for several years, patients from children to adults haven’t been treated until cannabidiol came into place. There have been several studies about cannabidiol dramatically reducing seizures. Although cannabidiol has been able to help soothe these symptoms, we still must know how it reacts to the human body. Cannabidiol is an element in the cannabis plant that’s non-psychoactive which makes it the best medication for children with epilepsy. The statistics of kids and adults with epilepsy is outrageously high. It’s another good reason why we humans have our endocannabinoid system.

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is within our body. The ECS is the frame in our body accompanying the CB1 and CB2 receptors. Essentially, the cannabinoids like cannabidiol connect to these receptors. This gives our body complete homeostasis in the endocannabinoid system. Those with Epilepsy have an extreme endocannabinoid deficiency more so than the average human being. Since they do, it’s important to give them cannabinoids so they can counteract their symptoms. When a person has enough cannabinoids then they’ll be able to run better than there are. Let’s dive into Epilepsy factors, the clinical study that changed lives, and the statistics of those with epilepsy.

Epilepsy Factors

What happens to your brain when seizures start taking place? In today’s research, there isn’t too much information about this subject as researchers are still uncovering what happens in the brain. It’s essentially complex but the generalization is it starts within the brain’s nerve cells.  Epilepsy foundation describes its’ meaning within their article, “What is Epilepsy?”  They quote:

“Essentially, anything the brain can do, it can do in the form of a seizure. The Electrical events that produce the symptoms occur in the brain”.

Moreover, there’s more recorded research that’s reported back in 1979. The report, “Clinical Biochemistry of Epilepsy. I. Nature of The Disease and a Review of The Chemical Findings in Epilepsyby Samuel Natelson and others, references the fact that some patients are low in serum glucose and cholesterol. This happens right before a seizure. Then their entire body stops operating normally through imbalances of electrolytes which concludes to blood loss of carbon dioxide. This disrupts their entire balance the body needs to operate thoroughly. The process is only the tip of what happens within each patient’s body.

Not everyone has the same seizure because each person is different. There are many types of seizures that make each one unique and some more severe than others. Even mores so, a person experiences constant seizures that he or she may find it hard to go through life productively. Also, patients with Epilepsy sometimes are ridden off the illness, then they move on through life normally. Which is why many patients try new alternatives in medication such as cannabidiol or CBD. There have even been clinical studies on those patients who decided to take chances with CBD.

The Clinical Study That Changed Lives

We will further our knowledge of the clinical study because the more aware you are about CBD and the benefits than the more you’ll help the world live a healthier life. One study, in particular, was done by the American Epilepsy Society. The report, “Efficacy and Safety of Epidiolex (cannabidiol) In Children and Young Adults with Treatment-Resistant Epilepsy”, detailed children and adults with treatment-resistant epilepsies enrolling in a CBD program.
The study was a four-week long program that gave parents and caregivers the opportunity to keep diaries about prospective seizures especially motor seizure types. These patients were given an organic purified CBD medication from small doses to large doses each day. The small doses were 2-5 mg/kg and the maximum tolerance level doses were 25 mg/kg. These patients were seen regularly of two to four weeks of the total 12-week trial. They were all tested in certain areas from the liver to kidney functions.

The results of 261 patients came through and it showed their seizure frequency reduction at 45.1%. For other patients who had Dravet Syndrome showed a decrease at 62.7%. Patients with Lennox Gastaut Syndrome resulted at 71.1%. Overall there was a 45%-50% decrease in seizure frequency within patients. This is what CBD does at its’ best. If it can decrease seizures in epileptics by that much then those patients will have a better lifestyle. They can live without fear of an oncoming seizure.

Statistics of Individuals With Epilepsy

These seizures are recurrent as mentioned above, yet how many people are epileptics that get seizures? We evaluate it to be considerably high. There are two types of statistics that are measured. These are the incidence of epilepsy and prevalence of epilepsy. The Incidence of epilepsy analyzes new cases with patients who now have epilepsy. They total their number from x out of 1,000’s with people developing epilepsy. Prevalence of epilepsy analyzes the total number of people who have epilepsy at any given time. These numbers total those with new-onset epilepsy and those who’ve had epilepsy for a long time. The Epilepsy Foundation defines these from the article,  “Epilepsy Statistics”.

The average incidence of epilepsy is first calculated throughout the United States. The total number of those with new cases of epilepsy each year is about 150,000 or 48 for every 100,000 people that developed epilepsy. These numbers include more children than adults who develop epilepsy in a given year. This shows us that younger children are more apt to get epilepsy at a young age.

The average prevalence of epilepsy is also calculated throughout the United States as well. These numbers total to those with epilepsy ranging from 1.3 million to 2.8 million. There’s another estimate that evaluated due to different circumstances which total to 2.2 million people or 7.1 for every 1,000 people. These numbers are outrageously high for those patients with epilepsy from new to old.

Overall, the statistics are the major reason why cannabidiol is the top priority for every epilepsy patient from the first moment they receive it to the ones who had epilepsy for a long time. CBD can alleviate the lives of many individuals because of how well it compliments the human endocannabinoid system. Not only is cannabidiol the better choice, because of how successful the clinical trial was, but it’s the main choice to save lives. Now you understand how serious CBD within epilepsy is, you can take action by spreading the word across the world one cannabinoid at a time.

Popular Myths About CBD

As I’ve been roaming around the internet, I’ve come across some very interesting false information that people are spreading around like they’re the cannabidiol guru, and it pains me that people could go around for their entire lives spreading false information about this spectacular cannabinoid. In this article, I’ll be highlighting and debunking the top myths that I see.

Myth #1

Question: Hemp CBD is different than medicinal cannabis CBD.

Answer: False. Cannabidiol is the same molecule no matter where it comes from. If it originates from yeast, hemp, cannabis, or another plant, then the only thing that’s different is the chemical compounds in the plant source.

Myth #2

Question: I can overdose on CBD.

Answer: False. There have been no documented reports of people overdosing on CBD. In fact, if you consume an unfamiliarly large dose, you may get sleepy.

Myth #3

Question: CBD Is Illegal

Answer: True. Technically, cannabidiol is classified as a schedule 1 drug. However, it’s probably the most loosely regulated substance on the chart because the other schedule 1 drugs are actually harmful and can cause long term damage to the psyche and body.

CBD Shatter – 3 Things You Must Avoid?

CBD Shatter is the fastest way to get a high amount of cannabidiol in your blood stream. The newest wave of shatter coming out onto the market has terpenes infused into the concentrate, creating a tasty experience for all dabbers. However, there are a number of things that you’ll want to take note of when selecting your CBD wax.

Typically, the clearer the shatter, the more pure it is. If you can hold your CBD concentrate up to a bright light and can’t see any transparency, chances are there is unwanted contamination that happened during the extraction process. The Journal of Toxicological Sciences tested 57 concentrate samples, and 80% of them tested positive with contamination.

Butane Extractions

Butane is one of the most dangerous methods of creating CBD extracts. One spark near enough to the butane gas and the whole facility explodes into flames. Butane gas is known for getting trapped inside of the extraction, only to be released upon consumption. Drugs.ie states that confusion, hallucinations, blackouts, and chronic headaches may occur as immediate and long term side effects. It’s our best bet to avoid these extracts and choose something more health conscious.

As the industrial hemp industry continues to gain momentum, several native American tribes are beginning to grow industrial hemp on a commercial level. Jim Robinson, project director for the Wide Ruins Chapter, Ariz stated that there was no reason to be concerned about the DEA interfering with the grow.

“We’re not growing drugs,” Jim says.

We believe that he’s correct, and according to the Colorado Department of Agriculture, industrial hemp contains less than (.3%) THC on a dry weight basis. The purpose for producing hemp is to use the fiber and naturally occurring cannabinoids that aren’t
